Our Story We have been married for 12 years and have been together for over 15 years. We met in College while we were students at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, California. Our time together as students is very special to us. Our student life was certainly made easier since we both would help and encourage each other to be the best students that we could. Walterio was always very good with math and physics. Claudia was very happy about this since Walterio would be very patient and help Claudia understand these difficult subjects. Actually Walterio was very good at helping anyone with these difficult subjects, when he was a graduate student in Berkeley his friends nicknamed him “professor”. We were very much in love, so as soon as Walterio finished his master degree at Berkeley we decided to get married (Claudia was still a student at Cal Poly). Since meeting each other we have gone trough all of our graduations together. We still visit San Luis Obispo; we have very fond memories of that city and we continue to plan to visit. Maybe we will retire there some day! We have lived in the San Francisco East Bay since Claudia graduated back in 1996. We really love this area. It is very diverse and there are so many places to visit and things to do. We now have settled in El Cerrito. We have made many friends here, our neighbors are really nice, and we plan to stay here for a long time. Claudia is a Design Professional who was done many projects involving Hospital Work. Walterio is a well-respected Structural Engineer, who has worked in many interesting projects throughout the state of California. It is quite a joy for us to be involved in professions that are similar. We can understand each other very well for this reason in our professional worlds. Many colleagues have asked if we have ever worked in a project together. This has not happened yet, but maybe some day!
